Lily kneeling

After the fair models, I have drawn lily in a kneeling pose. Her darker skin tones and black hair made a nice contrast. She has the perfect figure for an artist’s model and expressive eyes.

Back to acrylics to capture the vibrant colors of the Mediterranean in summer. This is San Pedro, the next cove from my village, Las Negras. I like the yachts off the beach and I enjoy painting boats but the girl in the sea adds, life, human interest and scale to the composition.

This is a complete change as I wanted to try out acrylics to capture the strong colors of the seascapes here in the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata. This is San Pedro beach near Las Negras and on this particular day a Levante breeze livened up the sea which added interest. I was fortunate to have a friend to model for me.
